Building History

Central Plains College

"HIGHER EDUCATION" - One of the early institutions of so-called "higher education" in the early days of the West Texas District was Central Plains College an Conservatory of Music, a holiness association-sponsored school, at Plainview. Here is shown the main building. Beset with financial troubles, the founding Holiness Church offered the school to the Methodists, and it was accepted. The school was named Seth Ward College.
